We know well that Vector Optics’ top line is the famous Continental, but the second in performance and perhaps the first in popularity is the Taurus line of scopes. For those who do not know her, Vector Optics Taurus is a series of 4 scopes with first focal plane, 30 millimeters tube and great performance when it comes to precision scopes. It is one notch below Continental in performance and price, you could say that it is the alternative that follows Continental when we want something at a lower price.
We will make a brief mention of each of the models offered by Vector Optics in this line so that you can have a better idea of which one is the most suitable for you.

Pros and cons of the Taurus line
The first thing is to understand what this line offers us and what it does not. For this we put together a small list of advantages and disadvantages that apply to all Taurus products from Vector Optics.
Advantages
✅ Excellent value for money.
✅ Lockable and resetable turrets.
✅ Lifetime warranty.
Disadvantages
⛔ They do not have versions in MOAs.
⛔ Reticle with few references.
⛔ Little adjustment capacity in turrets.
As an important point to take into account, these scopes on Aliexpress range between 290 and 400 dollars and in terms of performance they are quite close to models of recognized brands that have between 865 and 1050 dollars. By this I mean that the price-quality ratio of these sights is enormous.
Buying Guide for Vector Optics Taurus Scopes
It is worth mentioning that in the following buying guide we are not ordering the products under any ranking. Each has a different purpose and therefore it is not appropriate to compare them with each other.

Opinion: Vector Optics Taurus 1-6×24 FFP
It is an alternative for dynamic shooters who practice CQB or CQC (Combat in closed spaces). Where we need a scope that keeps us covered in short distances and , if necessary, that has the versatility to adapt quickly to shooting at medium distances.

Opinion: Vector Optics Taurus 3-18×50 FFP
It is the most adaptable alternative to hunting scenarios in this series. Due to the versatility of its magnification, we can cover situations at short, medium and long distances , with the precision that a first focal plane scope always gives us and the clarity of a 50 mm lens.

Opinion: Vector Optics Taurus 4-24×50 FFP
We arrive at the first alternative for precision shots at long and very long distances . In this discipline, those who prefer a scope with a conservative profile and not too long or heavy opt for the 4-24×50, which, despite its enormous amount of magnification, still maintains a good weight-to-volume ratio.

Opinion: Vector Optics Taurus 5-30×56 FFP
Finally, the beast. A scope with a huge amount of magnification and the largest lens diameter in the series. Long and very long range precision shots. It seems to be the favorite among shooters.
General opinion Vector Optics Taurus scopes
There is a lot of evidence on the internet of people who know much more than I do on this subject and the opinion is strong. The value for money of these scopes is very very good. This series comes to solve one of the great disadvantages of Vector Optics Continental scopes, the price.
Here we no longer have excuses, we have a great first focal plane optical piece with excellent performance and at a more than reasonable price. It is no wonder how successful these models have been and continue to be.
Good shots!
