Vector Optics Sentinel is a line of riflescopes specialized for competitive precision shooting varmint category. For those who are not familiar with the category, it is about target shooting, usually at 25 meters, with air rifles or carbines of low calibers such as 22lr or 22mg.
It is within the most popular lines of scopes of the brand among fans of compressed air, pcp rifles and competitive shooters, for an excellent price-quality ratio . The price of the sights ranges between 180 and 240 US dollars.

It is the most economical, less heavy and less bulky model . Ideal to start with and has practically the same characteristics as the rest of the models. The only negative point is that it is the one with the least amount of magnification and perhaps we are a little short for competition. Within that range of zoom it can be a good alternative for hunting.

For $ 10 more we get a lot more magnification than the previous one. We went from 16 maximum zoom to 24 without paying much more. In this change there is a slight decline in the amount of elevation and windage adjustment but it is not too much. This scope could also be used for some hunting scenarios, but not the following models. Good value for money.

It is the middle of the line , both in relation to price and in relation to the amount of magnification. For just $ 10 more we go back up to 8X the number of max zoom, which is a good deal, I think. It’s a bit longer and bulky , that’s a downside and it’s also the one with the least adjustability (45 MOA).

Opinion: Vector Optics Sentinel-X 10-40×50 SFP Gen II
This is the most specialized scope on the line for competitive 25 meter precision target shooting . In fact , it is the only one that has a reticle patented by Vector Optics that is used exclusively for this type of competition. It is the only one in the line that does not have an illuminated reticle and it is the best seller of the entire Sentinel line.

Opinion: Vector Optics Sentinel 10-40×50 SFP E-SF Gen II
Finally, the last scope in the series is the most expensive of all . Very similar to the previous one, but this one has the same reticle as the rest (all except the Sentinel X). This one have an illuminated reticle and has the highest zoom level of the line. An interesting alternative.
General opinion Vector Optics Sentinel scopes
They are riflescopes made mostly for competitive shooters. Very reasonable price compared to the rest of the market. The most common platforms on which these riflescopes are mounted are varmint rifles .
That said, if you are in that group of shooters, I feel comfortable recommending them.
