For those who do not know the brand. Vector Optics is a well-known brand of Chinese scopes that has been hitting the market strongly. They stand out for manufacturing quality scopes at a fairly affordable price, and one of their best known models is the Vector Optics Marksman 6-25×50.
We know that they are cheap scopes, but many wonder if they are really worth it , since not everything cheap is good and sometimes cheap ends up being expensive.
In this review we are going to analize the VO Marksman 6-25×50 . We will see its main characteristics, pros and cons and we will think about whether it is a good purchase option or not . Let’s go!
Features Vector Optics Marksman 6-25×50
We go first with the main features, and then we will see pros and cons.
Magnification and lens diameter
This is the highest magnification scope in the Marksman series . 6X minimum magnification and 25X maximum magnification . We have enormous versatility to move between the extremes which allows us to play at short, medium and even long distances.
It has a diameter in the objective lens of 50 mm , that is to say, quite wide. This favors more light entrance and ultimately better image quality .
SFP (Second focal plane)
It is a scope that has the reticle located in the second focal plane. This means that the size of the crosshairs does not change when we change the zoom level .
This implies that the crosshair references can only be used when the zoom is at its maximum magnification (25X) . And that we will be able to clearly appreciate the reticle in smaller magnifications, but the references will not help us in these cases.
The second focal plane opens up the possibilities for both precision shots and more instinctive shots.
Reticle MPN-1
It has a thick post reticle on the outside that get thinner on the inside . With some references on the posts, but not too many. Typical second focal plane precision scope reticle.
It should be noted that the scope only comes in MILs (NOT in MOAs) and that the reticle is NOT illuminable .
Precision scope
The 3 features we saw earlier help us define the purpose of the scope . Remember that sights come in many formats and prepared for different areas of application and that is why we must choose a product according to the purpose we want to give it .
The main purpose of this scope is: Precision shooting . The high magnification capacity and the references on the reticle reveal this application . The second focal plane gives you flexibility in application, allowing you to operate on more instinctive shots as well.
Other features
As additional data for retailers, this optics also has the following attributes:
- Objective lens diameter: 50 mm.
- Eye relief: 100 mm.
- Length: 357 mm.
- Weight: 660 gr.
- Tube diameter: 30 mm.

Comparison with other Marksman series scopes
We are going to compare it with the model closest to this which is the 6-24×50 FFP. Any characteristic that does not appear in this table is because it is the same in the 2 models.

It should be mentioned that the 6-25×50 is quite a bit cheaper than its counterpart. This is mainly due to the difference in focal plane. They are very similar riflescopes .
Is it worth buying? Pros and cons
Having seen what it offers us, we now go with advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages
✅ Very good price.
✅ Versatility.
✅ Prepared for precision.
Disadvantages
⛔ Reticle without illumination.
⛔ Parallax starts at 20 yards.
⛔ Warranty of only 5 years.
Advantages in detail
Vector Optics has always been known for having an excellent price. They are cheap scopes compared to other models with similar characteristics and this is always welcomed by users. Rather than cheap, it would be correct to say that they are good value for money .
We are in the presence of a versatile scope . This means that it is quite flexible in terms of shooting situations. This advantage comes from its high magnification capacity and from being a second focal plane , which allows not only precision shots, but also more intuitive shots.
Essentially it is a scope for precision shooting. It comes with features that support this purpose such as:
- High magnification
- Referenced reticle
- Parallax adjustment
Disadvantages in detail
The fact that the scope does not have an illuminated reticle is a negative . Not necessarily because we are going to use the scope in low light conditions (which is possible), but due to the fact that sometimes an illuminable reticle helps us to generate a better contrast when shooting.
The parallax adjustment , or focus as some call it, starts at 20 yards , which can be inconvenient for precision shooters with air rifles . These types of disciplines are sometimes practiced at 10 yards , and on those occasions, the parallax adjustment of the scope does not help.
Finally, the guarantee is only 5 years. In general, riflescopes have a longer warranty period since it is really difficult for a scope to have a problem, and that is why recognized brands offer a minimum of 10 years and even lifetime guarantees.

General opinions Vector Optics Marksman 6-25×50
The opinion of the users of this scope in general is usually very good . It is a scope that it sells well and that does not have major complaints from buyers.
Although it is not the best piece of optics on the market by any means, what shooters value in this case is the quality of the piece in relation to the price they are paying for it.
It is a very complete and effective alternative at a very reasonable price.
Personal opinion Vector Optics Marksman 6-25×50
In particular, it seems to me that it is an alternative to consider , especially for precision shooters that are just starting out. It is a great opportunity to get a cheap and effective scope.
It is not a hunting scope, nor is it the eighth wonder of the world, but it is a nice telescopic sight, made with durable materials, with precision features and for a low budget scope
In short, if you think that the product serves the purpose you are going to give it well, I would recommend it.
Good shots!
