The choice of the focal plane and reticle in this scope is correct . These characteristics go hand in hand, and their foundation is that in a hunting scenario we are more interested in speed in the acquisition of the target than in precision . Don’t get me wrong, accuracy is important, but not to the point of calculating to get a shot. In general, hunting scenarios require aiming fast, putting the center of your sights on the target and shooting before the piece moves, and always at distances of no more than 300 meters .
Taking this into account, the second focal plane does not alter the size of the reticle when we zoom in or out to avoid distractions and always have the same reticle format. In addition, the type 4A reticle of this scope is a simple, reference-free hunting reticle that also contributes to the quick and easy acquisition of the target .
It should also be noted that the scope is not overloaded with features that do not serve its purpose , which is convenient since it allows to keep the price as low as possible without losing effectiveness in use.

Finally the version with the first focal plane, the most complete of all . This model is essentially prepared for long and extreme distances. The first focal plane ensures that we do not lose the references of the reticle as the zoom increases or decreases . This serves so that the proportion of them is adjusted as the zoom changes and therefore we can use them to make corrections at any level of magnification.
Also, the reticle has a greater number of references than in the previous product, which further increases the correction capacity .

I particularly think that it is a quality product at a very reasonable price . If we take any of the previous versions as a reference and compare them with a scope with similar characteristics from the best-known brands, there is no point of comparison in the price.
Vector Optics has proven to be a real bargain in this regard. For a lower price, they offer high-quality products and that speaks well of the brand’s value for money in general.
In short, I consider this to be a good buy, I particularly like the hunting version, but all have proven to be effective on the shooting range.
